I can remember How kind your were and how smart My dear Grandpa You're still alive in my heart my heart my heart. Chorus: Still alive, still alive Because I know that you Could not have gone forever, you Did survive, did survive, Can't believe You are gone. Never ever I felt that. Can't believe You are gone. Never ever I felt that. You are still alive in my heart. Sometimes I feel that You read my mind And hear me. I always see that You're by my side And will be, Will be, Will be. Was (a)-little child To realize what's going on, Thought, in awhile You would wake up and return, Return, Return. Chorus: Still alive, still alive Because I know that you Could not have gone forever, you Did survive, did survive, Can't believe You are gone. Never ever I felt that. Can't believe You are gone. Never ever I felt that. You are still alive in my heart.
"Lullaby from Childhood" by Nataliya Medvedovskaya.

"Lullaby from Childhood" by Nataliya Medvedovskaya.

The music and original Russian lyrics of "Lullaby from childhood" are composed by award-winning songwriter, composer and concert pianist Nataliya Medvedovskaya (aka Natasha Meadow). The English translation is by Alexandra A. Palmer. The song is performed by Nataliya Medvedovskaya at the Spring Music & Family Festival at P.S.193 Gil Hodges School, Brooklyn, New York, on March 9, 2013. The lullaby can be sung to young children as well as to older "adult" children of all ages. "Lullaby from Childhood" comes into a man's imagination, as he hears his mother singing a lullaby to him, reminding him when he was a little boy and believed in a fairytale world. "Lullaby from Childhood" "The night is deep and clear, the night is deep and clear, Rock-a-by, rock-a-by, Curl up and sleep, my dear, curl up and sleep, my dear, Won't you try, won't you try, -- A sweet lullaby from childhood Flickers glowing in the night. Oh, I wish I knew how I could Keep alive the candle's light. The earth is under the charm, the earth is under the charm Of the moon, of the moon. The house is wrapped in the calm, the house is wrapped in the calm -- A cocoon, a cocoon. Darkness smears blueberry jelly On the windows yet once more, Time is childlike, pure and friendly, Talks to me just like before. You drop your cares, they're gone, you drop your cares, they're gone In the night, in the night, In haste you meet someone, in haste you meet someone As in flight, as in flight. In the attic of rememb'ring You have thrown your childhood ball. Do you truly have no mem'ry Of the fairytale at all? "The night is deep and clear, the night is deep and clear, Rock-a-by, rock-a-by," Original Russian Lyrics by Nataliya Medvedovskaya: «Колыбельная из детства» «Свернись калачиком, свернись калачиком, Баю-бай, баю-бай, Послушным мальчиком, послушным мальчиком Засыпай, засыпай,» -- Колыбельная из детства Огоньком дрожит в ночи. Copyright 2003 Nataliya Medvedovskaya, ASCAP
